A More Complete Picture
In the breast imaging arena there are a few big players that garner a lot of attention, and some smaller players that thrive in a specialty market. Hologic is known as the women’s health company, independently covering digital mammography, CAD, and products like DXA and biopsy tables, while offering several other modalities through strong partnerships. GE, offering products that cover the imaging gamut, is a prominent player with their digital mammo, DXA, breast MRI, and ultrasound. Fuji markets FFDM and mammography workstations in addition to their other PACS and RIS offerings.
