In the mobile x-ray market, new entrants, like Agfa and Carestream, are making a splash, and market leaders GE and SHIMADZU are coming out with new systems that are creating a great deal of energy in the market. Most providers have some experience with mobile x-ray, but the newest generation is smaller, sleeker, more mobile, and maintains image quality better than ever before. The new technology is driving demand and increasing mobile volumes in the ED, OR, and other areas of the hospital.
