Preparing for October 2013
The ICD-10 deadline is two years away. With most healthcare providers focusing on the more-pressing time frame of meaningful use (MU) Stage 1 and HIPAA 5010 deadlines, it is not surprising that only 9% of the providers KLAS spoke with were more than halfway through their ICD-10 readiness preparations. The vast majority was still in the early stages of preparation.
