A business intelligence (BI) tidal wave is coming, and half the market is looking to go surfing. While three vendors (McKesson, SAP, and IBM) were considered by 43% of all providers, a total of 37 vendors were mentioned. These two market trends highlight both the strong position of the top contenders and the opportunity for a large range of vendors to ride the wave. Energy around healthcare BI is increasing at a frenetic pace, and providers are looking at a wide variety of BI tool sets and products to satisfy this need.
