When it comes to enterprise imaging, providers are in the early stages of forming strategies. Most are considering one of two main approaches: an approach centered on a vendor-neutral archive (VNA) or a PACS-centric archive solution. Acuo and TeraMedica are the primary vendors that offer VNA functionality without having a PACS solution, and their products have been shown to work well with many different imaging solutions. Merge, Agfa, and Carestream also offer a VNA as well as PACS solutions and have seen good success among their own customer bases. GE and Philips customers are especially interested in the PACS enterprise archive solution offered by their vendor.
