PACS - Community Hospital Report 2005

November 18, 2005

KLAS' 2005 Community Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) report looks specifically at hospitals with 200 beds or less. The report provides a snapshot of today’s community hospital PACS vendors (200 beds or less) and compares their strengths and weaknesses against one another, all community hospital PACS vendors and the KLAS HIT average (the average of all healthcare information technology products in the KLAS database).

This report features a total of 20 vendors. Eight community hospital PACS vendor products are compared in the main body of the report: DR Systems Dominator, Fuji Synapse, GE Centricity PACS v.2.0, McKesson Horizon Medical Imaging, Merge eMed Matrix, NovaRad PACS, Philips EasyAccess, and Philips iSite (Stentor).

An Early Data section features vendors whose products have not yet met KLAS' minimum confidence level in order to be compared with the vendors in the main body of the report. These vendors include: Agfa Impax, AMICAS Vision Series, BRIT Systems, Dynamic Imaging IntegradWeb, Intelerad IntelePACS, Kodak DirectView, RamSoft PowerServer, RAYPAX, ScImage PicomEnterprise, Siemens SIENET, and SmartPACS.

An Addendum contains one vendor, ITL for which KLAS has no data, however, a vendor overview was provided.
